What is compensation?
The law defines compensation as recompense for loss.
Should you suffer an injury (physical or psychological) as the
consequence
of an accident,
you may be entitled to a financial award to answer for income loss,
medical expenses, or any other related expenses that you have incurred
as a result of the injury, provided that the accident was not
your own fault.
The type of compensation, as well as the amount you
receive, will depend mostly on the injury’s severity, the circumstances
of the accident itself, and the degree to which you may be
culpable for the accident.
